His name is Ray Vincent, who emigrated to the U.S.A. While job-hunting, he got tired of job interviewers who refused to even talk to him due to his lack of local experience and his being a graduate of a school they never heard of. Without much choice, he had  to prove himself first, by taking a board examination for professional engineers. Fortunately, he passed it with a grade of 94%.
 
Soon after, he got hired into the Petrochemical; Nuclear; and Aerospace industries which initially rejected him.

He was also fairly innovative and invented 4 United States patents. One of which is his invention of an aircraft toilet which can flush with only 8 ounces of water. Nowadays, all aircraft toilets flush with the same amount of water.

One time, while he was on the balcony of his condo, he doubted, in case of fire, if he can jump 3-storey down without breaking a bone or two. What was more bothersome for him, were his doubts about his wife and young daughters surviving falls even from that fairly low elevation.

This invention was the product of those  doubts.
